Mr. Torrie has 30 years of experience in accounting, systems, and financial management. Prior to joining Black Mesa, he owned and operating several companies, primarily in the aviation industry. Prior to his entrepreneurial activities, he was Budget Director for Maintenance at Continental (United) Airlines. He received his B. S. and MBA degrees in finance from Brigham Young University.
Brookside Energy is a Founding Member of Black Mesa and David Prentice serves on its board of directors.
David is a senior resources executive with 25-plus years of domestic and international experience. David started his career in commercial and business development roles within the resources sector, working for some of Australia’s most successful gold and nickel exploration and mining companies. During the last 15 years, David has gained international oil and gas exploration and production sector experience (with a specific focus on the Mid-Continent region of the United States) working in both executive and non-executive director roles with Australian publicly traded companies. David is Managing Director of Brookside Energy Limited, Chairman of Lustrum Minerals Limited and a non-executive director of Black Mesa Energy, LLC and Comet Resources Limited.
Lee has over forty years of engineering and management experience in upstream and mid-stream operations. He served as the EVP of Operations and Marketing for Red Fork Energy, Inc. where he was responsible for all drilling, production and infrastructure projects related to the Mississippi Lime play. Prior to that Mr. Francis owned CEI Petroleum, Inc., which developed and operated a Morrow formation gas and iodine brine co-production project in northwest Oklahoma. CEI was successfully sold in January of 2013. Since 1986, Lee has owned and operated companies that provide consulting engineering and well site supervision of oil and gas development projects in Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Colorado, Wyoming, California, Mississippi and Louisiana (onshore and inland waters). His consulting engineering firm served as the operations department for Medallion Petroleum and Brighton Energy, and he has worked with the founding members of Black Mesa for over 20 years. Lee is a 1974 graduate of Oklahoma State University and holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Management. He is a registered professional engineer in the State of Oklahoma.
Morgan has 12 years of experience working as a petroleum landman, primarily in Oklahoma, Texas and Louisiana. She began her career as a contract landman through Frontier Land, Inc. in Tulsa, OK, where she obtained valuable knowledge and experience running title, negotiating and analyzing oil and gas leases, reviewing, preparing and filing various documents as are customarily utilized in the industry and handling tasks related to applications to the Oklahoma Corporation Commission and the Texas Rail Road Commission. Prior to joining Black Mesa, Morgan was project manager and team lead for Ensley Properties, Inc. in Houston, where she specialized in acquisition and divestiture due diligence and post-sale asset transition.
